Free Methodist World Missions coordinates intercultural evangelistic work for the denomination, and our local church participates in the work through directly supporting missionaries and contributing to various other missions-related projects.
Kay serves as Latin America regional coordinator for International Child Care Ministries (ICCM). Based in Santiago, Chile, she supervises ICCM national coordinators who work alongside FM elementary scool teachers and church workers throughout Latin America to share the good news of Jesus with children. She is married to Leonardo Godoy who shares her heart for service, evangalism and discipleship. Kay and Leo participate in outreach, training, and administrative responsibilities at Comunidad Casa Grande in Santiago, a growing church ministering to immigrants from Venezuela.
We annually support and receive missionaries from areas of the world we are unable to share publicly about. As a part of the Global Free Methodist movement, we have connections with local churches and leaders in areas all over the world. We'd love to have you join us to learn more!
Many individuals at Mattis Avenue have chosen to be involved globally by sponsoring children through ICCM, our denomination’s child sponsorship initiative. ICCM is also actively involved in community change for future generations through agriculture projects, access to water, and access to education through providing menstruation kits to young women.

The Bishops’ Crisis Response Fund provides immediate relief funds in crisis situations.
Mattis Avenue has enthusiastically served as a host site for the Global 6K for Water. Each participant in the event provided sustainable clean water to a child in need. We also sponsored a Walk for Light, raising funds for much-desired solar lights for students in a creative access country.
Mattis Avenue members have partnered with many intercultural missions projects, with a wide range of emphases. Some include a church-building project in Hermosillo, Mexico, mission trips to Dominican Republic and several African countries, India, and a number of other countries.
